The Questions That Landed on /contact/ This Week (And the Answers Worth Posting Publicly)

Seven different readers opened the contact page this week. Six of them asked questions that already had clear answers buried in older posts. The seventh asked something we hadn't addressed at all. This post collects all of them in one place — partly to save the next person a round-trip, partly because the questions themselves reveal what the site is still failing to explain upfront.

The most common question was about whether the products actually work without an internet connection. Yes. Every title in the catalog runs offline after the initial download. Streaks, daily lessons, and review queues sync when you're back online, but nothing in the core learning loop requires a live connection. If you've ever lost signal mid-lesson and watched the app silently quit, that was a bug we fixed in the last release, not the intended behavior.

Several people asked about account deletion, which is a fair thing to wonder about when a product is built around long-term progress. You can delete your account from the settings menu at any time, and deletion is permanent within 30 days — no grace period tricks, no "we'll keep your data for analytics." If you've ever been burned by a service that made "delete" mean "hide from the UI," this one actually deletes.

A few visitors wanted to know whether the audio recordings were generated by AI or voiced by humans. Both, depending on the language and the title. Where we have native speakers available, we use them. Where we don't, we use synthesis with native-speaker review on every lesson. The catalog page for each title lists the voice source if you want to check before you buy.

The new question — the one nobody had asked before — was about whether the same purchase works across iOS, Android, and desktop. It does, on the same account. This was true for a while but the wording on the store pages made it sound like each platform was a separate buy, which explains why nobody realized it. That's been reworded this week.

If you're reading this because you were about to send a message, check the help center first — most of what lands in the inbox is already there. And if something genuinely isn't, the contact page is still the right place to ask. The inbox is read by a person, not a bot, and a real question from a real user is how the next round of fixes gets prioritized.
